Clear and branded signage helps protect everyone who visits our sites, creates an environment that everyone is proud to work in, and provides a consistent and positive impression.
Our site signage guide on Connect contains all our approved signs and product codes required to order each sign from our signage provider, Hollywood Monster. All the signs within this guide comply with the Morgan Sindall Infrastructure branding guidelines. Note: Site signage adopts the âMorgan Sindallâ logo.
Customer branding or joint venture branding may be used as a substitute and/or in addition, once agreed with operations director/manager.

- Bespoke signs: 3-5 working days after the artwork has been approved.
- Ensure the relevant planning permissions are in place for any signage that is outside of the site compound.
- Order any signs via their procurement team by completing a requisition form ensuring that each signâs product code is detailed.
- The installation is risk-assessed, and a suitably qualified person completes the installation.
- Contact the Morgan Sindall Infrastructure communications team if a specific sign is not listed in the site signage guide and is required, as this will ensure branding guidelines are adhered to.
- Where the customer has taken responsibility for setting up the site, the project manager must liaise with the customer to ensure we maximise the opportunities for Morgan Sindall Infrastructure signage to be utilised.
Reminders
Sustainable signs
All signs will be printed on Akyprint, which is recyclable material, unless the sign is required to be magnetic or acrylic.
Special order items or joint venture branding
Contact the Morgan Sindall Infrastructure communications team if you require joint venture branded signs or special-order items.
Temporary works check where signage is fitted
Where large signs are to be fitted to fencing/hoarding additional temporary works checks may be required to assess the stability of the fencing/hoarding.
Noticeboards
about the project and site. There are some notices that sites are legally required to display such as the F10 and insurance details (see the list below). Noticeboards must be used to display safety critical information like fire escape routes and first aiders.
Noticeboards must be kept up to date and refreshed regularly to help ensure individuals continue to read the information displayed and donât ignore them.
The site establishment team must:
- Identify the type of boards/items that must be displayed. As a minimum, the following information must be on display as close to the entrance of the site accommodation/welfare facilities and available for all to access:
- F10 notice (Informs the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) of our projects. This notification is a legal requirement under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM)).
- Insurances – Employers Liability, Contractors All Risk, Third-party and Public Liability.
- Company policies – Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality, Wellbeing and Inclusion and Diversity.
- Protecting People Information
- Site layout/CDM plan highlighting high risk areas, e.g. water courses, overhead line, buried services, etc.
- Health and Safety at Work Act Poster.
- In the event of information, such as:
- Fire and rescue plans.
- Dawn raids.
- First aid and local hospital details.
- Mental health First Aiders.
- Ensure that the following noticeboards are used and on display in appropriate locations to suit the construction work and site layout:
- Daily hazard boards.
- RAMS boards.
- Permit boards.
- Assess the location of noticeboards and their uses in these locations being mindful of allowing individuals and teams to engage with these and to take the time to digest the information available.
- Allocate noticeboard owners and the importance of keeping information up to date.
The site establishment team should consider:
- Smart/TV screens vs. traditional notice boards especially where there is minimal space available.
- Re-using any signage or noticeboards from completed projects. Checking that the branding is still relevant, the carbon impact, and additional costs for transporting it.
- Treating external signs and hoarding with Clean Air by Resysten, which helps eliminate NOx (nitrogen oxides) from the atmosphere. It is available from our supply chain family members, Hollywood Monster, and Service Graphics.
