Introduction
Welcome to the Morgan Sindall Infrastructure Site Establishment Standard. The purpose of this standard is to ensure that every site, large or small, setup by Morgan Sindall Infrastructure provides a welcoming, inclusive and safe place to work and visit for everyone.
The contents of this standard considers everything required to establish a site prior to project works beginning. It does not cover construction methodologies. However, some activities to support the significant project works need to be considered during site establishment.
Implementing the standards set out in this document when establishing any site will mean we can provide offices and welfare to the highest standards possible. This means we can fulfil our commitment to being a responsible business and specifically Protecting People by ensuring we always deliver the right environment and equipment for our colleagues, subcontractor, supply chain and customers to work, engage and rest in, so that together we can always protect each other.
It is important that sufficient resources are identified to ensure that the standards detailed in this document are maintained throughout the delivery phase by undertaking periodic maintenance and inspection programmes. This standard encompasses best practice from within our business and industry.
It is vital that we learn from each other to continually improve our site establishment activities and standards.
Important
Preconstruction, Tender allowances and Contract Award information
It is essential that the tender information and the subsequent contract award documentation are reviewed and understood prior to site mobilisation, ensuring that the correct monies are allocated within the tender to allow the site establishment to be implemented in line with the Morgan Sindall Infrastructure minimum standards set out in this document. This ensures that any anomalies can be discussed and agreed before activities begin.
Reminder
This standard must be read in conjunction with SHEQ STD 02 Infrastructure Site Standards Handbook.
